Youth and Young Adults
Isuroon’s Somali Summer Youth and Young Adult Programs are designed to empower young Somali and East African students in middle school and high school. The primary goal of these programs is to provide the youth with the necessary tools, knowledge, and skills to become self-sufficient and contributing members of their communities.
Youth Programs
Mentorship
Youth have the opportunity to connect with experienced individuals who provide guidance and support for personal and academic growth.
Leadership
Through leadership training, youth learn essential skills such as communication, teamwork, and problem-solving to become leaders in their communities.
Crime Prevention
Education on crime prevention helps students understand the importance of making positive choices and staying away from illegal activities, contributing to the creation of safer communities.
Mindfulness
Practices such as mindfulness help participants develop self-awareness, manage stress, and build emotional resilience, promoting overall well-being and mental health.
Mental Health Support
The program offers support and resources to address mental health challenges through counseling, workshops, and access to mental health professionals.
Drug Abuse Prevention
Youth are educated about the risks of substance abuse and provided with strategies to resist peer pressure and make healthy choices.
