Isuroon partners with Hennepin County to deliver Parenting Capacity Services to families involved with Child Protective Services (CPS).
Isuroon’s primary mission is to promote the well-being of children and families by strengthening parenting capabilities, reducing instances of abuse and neglect, and preventing out-of-home placements.
The overarching objectives of the Parent Capacity program are:
To decrease the number of Somali children placed in foster care in Hennepin County.
To connect families with local community intervention services, offering guidance, incentives, and support throughout their parenting journey.

Emotional Regulation Techniques
We equip parents with practical techniques and strategies to effectively regulate their emotions, fostering emotional well-being and resilience in navigating everyday life.
Driver's License Assistance
Our team is dedicated to supporting parents with the process of obtaining their driver's licenses, providing guidance and assistance every step of the way.
Financial Management Skills Training
We offer comprehensive training programs to help parents acquire essential financial management skills, empowering them to take control of their finances and plan for a secure future.
Mental Health Support Services for Parents and Families
At Isuroon, our team of trained professionals is dedicated to providing tailored solutions to help parents and families address mental health problems. We work collaboratively with individuals and their families to provide a holistic approach to address all their needs sensitively. social interactions as a unit, and we offer a supportive environment where parents can work together to improve their mental health and well-being.
In-Home Parenting Assistance
Our coordinators work closely with parents and families in their residences, providing support on various fronts such as understanding basic child development, refining parenting strategies, nurturing the parent-child relationship, addressing behavioral challenges in children, and resolving other issues contributing to household instability.
Parent Education
We provide weekly classroom instruction for parents, focusing on education and practical skills. Our group activities encompass education, support, and the development of essential living skills, along with skills-based therapy sessions. We tailor individualized goals for each family, fostering personal growth and development. Additionally, we offer engaging parent-child activities and incorporate music therapy into our program.
Facilitating Connections to Community Resources
We accompany parents and advocate for their diverse needs during visits and appointments, ensuring they access essential community resources.
